My heart is so heavy with sorrow for the people of Haiti who have endured so much in addition to this devastating earthquake.

Please donate to an organization to help disaster relief efforts . Here are some suggested organizations to donate to (beware of scams):


Catholic Relief Services: https://secure.crs.org/site/Donation2?df_id=3181&3181.donation=form1. 93% of the donations go directly to programming while many other organizations give a lot of your donations to bureaucracy. They are already mobilized for operations on the ground.

Doctors Without Borders: http://doctorswithoutborders.org/

Red Cross: http://www.redcross.org/en/ or text "Haiti" to 90999. Not all of your money goes directly to the cause but there operations on the ground are effective.
