Grapefruit Basil Martini
Simple approach:
3oz Vodka
3oz grapefruit juice
3 basil leaves
Mix ingredients over ice in a cocktail shaker. Shake well to muddle basil and strain into a martini glass. Garnish with a basil leaf.
Fresh approach:
2oz Vodka
2oz freshly squeezed grapefruit juice
1-2tsp simple syrup (equal parts sugar and water)
2-3 basil leaves
Muddle a couple basil leaves with the simple syrup in the bottom of a mixing glass or shaker. Add the other ingredients plus ice. Shake well and garnish with a basil leaf.
